Bachelor Pad

This loft was described by Elle magazine as the best bachelor pad in Los Angeles. It's the home of Will Kopelman (son of Chanel chairman Arie Kopleman) who happens to currently be dating Drew Barrymore. I didn't realize we were still throwing the word bachelor pad around. Do you notice there is not one comfortable spot to sit besides the bed? Genius!

Kelly's Clothes

Can you guess who designed this collection? She's well known for her over the top interior design, has worked on numerous hotels, started her own rug/fabric/accessories line, has the life and job I want...Kelly Wearstler! I guess it shouldn't be surprising- she's become as well known for her signature fashion style as her designs. I like the collection, it's funky, fun, and styled perfectly. The ready to wear collection will be available exclusively at Bergdorf Goodman in the fall.

Got me thinking...

For a long time it had seemed to me that life was about to begin--real life. But there was always some obstacle in the way, something to be gotten through first, some unfinished business, time still to be served, a debt to be paid. Then life would begin. At last it dawned on me that these obstacles were my life.

I'm not sure if this scares the crap out of me or gives me relief. I'll keep you posted.

Wishing it was cold..

Wish it was a little bit colder in LA so I can wear my coats, scarves, boots and hats. They barely see the light of day. Don't get me wrong, I'm not asking for east coast weather, but what about a teeny tiny winter? Just a few days to wear our winter's best....

Rose Bowl

I went and ended up with this. I had the best time scouring the market with my friend Lindsay but there were slim pickins at the bowl this weekend. I couldn't leave the market empty handed so I bought the fish. All in all it was fun!

Happy Valentine's Day

Valentine wishes. (Thanks Kav!!!)

Last night I was at the market and saw a guy buying a bunch of balloons and huge rose bouquet- is it sad that my initial thought was yuck? I'm all for a day to celebrate love but when did it all get so cheesy and manufactured? I prefer to think of today as more symbolic, a day to be grateful for all the people I love- my husband, my seriously kick ass family and my friends. So to all of you, Happy Valentine's Day!

Style

Do you ever see someone in an outfit and think that's totally my style- head to toe. That's what went through my head when I saw this image. If only I had the budget for my dream wardrobe, sigh.

Kelly's Vibe

(Vibe Tray for a Miami Living Room)

(Vibe Tray for a Manhattan library)

(Vibe Tray for a bedroom in a Kuwait estate)

I just got the 411 on Kelly Wearstler's new blog over at Habitually Chic. I have to say I'm really excited about peeking into her world and creative process. There is only one post so far and it didn't disappoint. It's fascinating to see how she keeps so many projects in order- each one has a tray for materials to be collected and displayed. Even little accessories, like the brass feet or stones add to the imagery of what's to be designed. It's a great visual way of keeping track of a project. I'm already looking forward to the next post!

Green Love

Loving this shade of green. New Year's design resolution (inspired by Elle Decor article)- use more color.

St. Bartholomew's

I'm not a religious person but if this was my church maybe I'd see things differently. Czech design firm, Qubus Studio redesigned the church in Eastern Bohemia using crystal chandeliers, antique rugs and Panton Chairs stamped with a cross. Pretty awesome I have to say- Modern meets Church.
